Athletic Training
ESU offers both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Athletic Training. Students learn injury prevention, emergency care, rehabilitation, and return‑to‑play strategies. Graduates are prepared for the BOC certification exam and careers as front‑line sports medicine professionals.
Exercise Science
Exercise Science students work with athletes, clinical patients, and healthy adults across hospitals, universities, corporations, and clinics. The program prepares graduates for careers in performance enhancement, chronic disease management, and wellness—and is a regional leader in preparing students for PT, OT, PA, and Chiropractic programs.
Communication Sciences & Disorders
The B.S. in Communication Sciences & Disorders prepares students for graduate study in Speech‑Language Pathology. SLPs help individuals with communication and swallowing disorders across the lifespan in schools, clinics, hospitals, private practices, and residential facilities.
Health & Physical Education
B.S. in Health Education Teacher Education
Students learn modern, research‑based teaching methods and are trained to become effective school health educators. The program is CAEP‑recognized and offered both in‑person and fully online. It also supports dual certification in Health and Physical Education.
B.S. in Physical Education
This program prepares students for certification to teach Pre‑K through 12th grade. Field experiences and hands‑on labs with school‑aged children are integrated throughout the curriculum.
Public Health
B.S. in Public Health with concentrations in Community Health and Health Services Administration.
CEPH‑accredited and built on 40+ years of community engagement, the program offers small classes, expert faculty, minors, certificates, and an accelerated BS/MPH pathway. Graduates leave with strong quantitative skills and excellent career or graduate‑school outcomes.
